GMC is One of the Longest-Lasting Brands on the Road
A recent iSeeCars.com survey set out to determine which cars most consistently hit the 200,000-mile mark in an attempt to find the longest-lasting and most dependable brands. Once the results were tallied, GMC stood among the most reliable automakers.
The final results placed GMC third, with 1.4 percent of its vehicles reaching 200,000 miles on the road. The study also determined that the GMC Yukon XL was one of the most likely SUVs to surpass 200,000 miles to also reach the prestigious 300,000-mile mark.
The GMC Sierra 1500 and the GMC Canyon were both named to the list of longest-lasting light-duty pickup trucks. The Canyon’s 3.6L engine with Active Fuel Management and the Sierra 1500’s options of gas or diesel engines promise to provide hundreds of thousands of miles of work. The GMC Canyon’s 30 mpg on the highway will save you bundles of cash throughout the years, as well.
The reliability of GMC vehicles is no surprise when you look at the quality craftsmanship that goes into each and every model. For instance, the 2020 GMC Yukon XL is powered by an available 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine, which pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission for smooth, easy shifting, which places less strain on your vehicle.
